In 2003 I decided to try entering one of my bears in a contest, the A.C.E. Awards, for artistic and creative excellence in teddy bear design. I chose to enter Barry Bear-A-Pine in the mohair over 12 inch category as I felt his design was unique and his fabric was very different.

When I received the phone call from Nancy Tillberg saying we had won I was thrilled. It is quite an honour to be recognized and judged by your peers. This award is something I will always treasure!
